SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear Readers:
With the addition of our “Company
Reports Section”, “THE MELMAN REPORT” website has
entered fully operational status, effective May 19, 2008.
In its completed version, “The Melman Report” now consists of the following: |
|
 |
A - “Melman Minutes”, written each business
day (except when national holidays or travel requirements interfere) by your
editor and containing timely comment on market direction consistent with our
overall published philosophical positions.
B - “Weekly Comments”, written early each week and will contain a review of
market actions during the preceding week and also look forward to
anticipated developments in the coming week.
C - “Melmania” studies, written on an as-needed basis to develop
commentaries on specific subjects relating to the junior mining share world
on topics such as “Gold versus Paper money” or “Commentary on relatively
poor mining share performance” or “Complications due to environmental
interferences.”
D - “Archives” of Mr. Melman’s past writing, accumulated over the past 23
years in publications such as “ICMJ’s Prospecting and MINING Journal”
(formerly “California Mining Journal”), Resource World, “World Mining
Stocks” and several others. These will be filed by subject index and
arranged by date of original publication.
E - Special studies created for Mr. Melman’s public speaking events
including titles such as “Four Dynamic Trends” or “Golden Bull Markets of
1980 and 2008 compared.”
F - Corporate section where client companies will each have a “Corporate
Page Section” which will include a short summary report of the company, an
in-depth study, a “review and analysis” page, updated reviews each three
months and links to the corporate websites and e-mail addresses.
Although at one time charging a subscription for
access to portions of the site had been contemplated, we have decided to
continue with free and open access for several reasons.
First, one of our goals is to be an influence on behalf of the mining industry
to mitigate the impositions of what we consider to be environmental and
governmental over-regulation. Of the industry. Second, our plan is for the site
to provide a means for quality junior mining corporations to present their
corporate information - for a reasonable fee - to the mining investment
community
In both cases, it is important to reach the widest possible audience and
management came to the belief that imposing an access fee, particularly while
the site was relatively new, would work in opposition to those goals.
We continue to look forward toward providing the highest quality, objective and
factual information to the public. However, as has been our policy since the
initial work at this site, it is important to point out that we will not be
offering any specific “buy” or “sell” recommendations. Our goal is to provide
information from personal observation and from sources which we believe to be
reliable. Any investment decisions should be made only after prior consultation
with registered investment professionals.
Comments from the general public are always invited, along with suggestions or
any information which might be of interest to our readers. Please address all
inquiries or comments to the site e-mail address which is
editor@themelmanreport.com
Yours truly,
Leonard Melman
